Chicken Bristle, Kentucky... now what would you find in Chicken Bristle, Kentucky? Your first guess would probably be...moonshine stills, hollers, and old wooden shacks. Fair guess, I suppose. You'll find something else there... a world-class blues band!
Lemme tell y'all a little bit about these boys...as musicians go...they are absolutely outstanding in their field!
Ain't none of 'em named Rufus...the name is from two obscure bluesmen: Whistlin' Rufus and Luther Huff. Now...ya take an eclectic mix of rock, funk, blues, boogie and "Dixie"...throw in two tablespoons of ZZ Top, a cup of Gov't Mule, a gallon of 'shine, and an entire bottle of Honeybee's World Famous 'Melts Thru Your Stomach' Bar-B-Q Sauce, then let it simmer for a couple of years...then ya strain it nice 'n' easy through a brand new charcoal filter into a Mason jar. Take this high octane blend back into the house...and ever so slowly, pour it through a '58 Les Paul, no effects added, straight into a vintage 50 watt Marshall 4x12 amp...add the rhythm section straight out of your wildest dreams and a voice that will give the best blue-eyed soul voice in the business, Jimmy Hall, a good run for his money...and here's what y'all get:
RUFUS HUFF - 'HAIN'T NO GOOD LIFE'
From L-R: Chris Hardesty-Drums/ Greg Martin-Guitar/ Dean Smith-Bass/ Jarrod England-Vocals
Rufus Huff - 'John The Revelator'
Rufus Huff - Greg bleedin' the blues out of that '58!
Rufus Huff - The Bottom
Rufus Huff, featuring Grammy Award winning Kentucky HeadHunters lead guitarist Greg Martin, ex-Supafuzz rhythm section Dean Smith & Chris Hardesty and Jarrod England on vocals. Come and taste the rock n’ funk stew of Rufus Huff, sprinkled with just the right amount of Bar-B-Q grease. Have mercy chir'un!!!
AVAILABLE IN STORES WORLDWIDE APRIL 14, 2009!!!
The good Doctor says, "Ya ain't got no soul...ya ain't got no funk...'cause all the rest of that stuff ain't nuthin' but junk!!! If ya wanna REALLY be tuff...YOU need a daily dose of...Rufus Huff!!! Crank it to 11 and rip the knob off!!!!" ...this message was brought to you by: The Excessive Decibels For World Peace Project.
