    Ireland has given us several great rock bands over the years: Them with Van Morrison, Taste with Rory Gallagher, Thin Lizzy, Gary Moore, U2, The Boomtown Rats, The Pogues... and now we have Jaded Sun.

    Formed in 2003, the band worked hard and produced their first EP, "Raw", in 2004, and it shot to the top of the Irish download charts and stayed there for 30 weeks, breaking all records. They recorded and released a second EP “Falling On The Fears” utilizing Ireland's top rock producers, Chris O’Brien and Graham Murphy...Chris being known for his work with Aslan, Hot House Flowers, Adam Clayton and The Boom Town Rats.
    

    The band hit the ground running in 2006, and topped out the year with a mesmerizing performance supporting Bon Jovi in Croke Park, which showcased their talent and proved they are one Irelands hottest new rock bands in years. (Jaded Sun are only the third Irish band ever to play in Ireland’s largest music arena!)

    2007 found the band working most of the year on their debut album, "Gypsy Trip". The group did manage to work in a few choice gigs, however, headlining in Zagreb Main Square, Croatia and the Hennessy Artistry, Ireland. The group is currently touring Europe.

    Music is cyclic...styles or genres appear...then fade...only to reappear with fresh blood injecting the style/genre with a new outlook, while maintaining the focus and feel of the original. Sometimes it is odd how fate plays a role in what develops...while looking for a vid for another band, I ran across THIS band...and I was really glad that I did!

    

    It gives me great pleasure to be able to introduce such an awesome band to you...from the United Kingdom...The Brew!!!
    

    The Brew have played every major Rock/Blues and Rhythm and Blues festival in the UK and were voted ‘Best Band 2006/07’ by ‘It’s Only Rock n’ Roll magazine'.
    

    The Brew consists of guitarist Jason Barwick (18), who is being tipped to be one of the UK's top guitarists. Drummer Kurtis Smith (19), nicknamed ‘The Bruce Lee Of The Drum Kit’, is a worthy successor to the thrones of Bonham and Moon, is also being spoken of as being destined to be one of the UK’s top drummers. Last but not least is Tim Smith, vocalist and bass guitarist with the band. Tim provides top notch vocals, strong rhythmic bass playing matched with an excellent time-keeping ability, and through his mentoring, bonds this sensational band into a very tight unit.

    Lemme tell y'all a little bit about these boys...as musicians go...they are absolutely outstanding in their field!

    Ain't none of 'em named Rufus...the name is from two obscure bluesmen: Whistlin' Rufus and Luther Huff. Now...ya take an eclectic mix of rock, funk, blues, boogie and "Dixie"...throw in two tablespoons  of  ZZ Top, a cup of Gov't Mule, a gallon of 'shine, and an entire bottle of Honeybee's World Famous 'Melts Thru Your Stomach' Bar-B-Q Sauce, then let it simmer for a couple of years...then ya strain it nice 'n' easy through a brand new charcoal filter into a Mason jar. Take this high octane blend back into the house...and ever so slowly, pour it through a '58 Les Paul, no effects added, straight into a vintage 50 watt Marshall 4x12 amp...add the rhythm section straight out of your wildest dreams and a voice that will give the best blue-eyed soul voice in the business, Jimmy Hall, a good run for his money...and here's what y'all get:
